Public Health Information Services

Classroom healthThere is a lack of awareness about eye care among the general public and many eye care myths are passed from one generation to the next. This often is more pronounced in developing countries, where there may be few alternative sources of information. To sustain our work, the Foundation trains the local populace in basic and preventive eye care and dispels existing myths and misconceptions.

Our public health program includes:

  1. Counseling of parents who have children with eye care problems
  2. Educating and advising teachers in our Children's Outreach Programs.
  3. Distributing eye care brochures in multiple languages and showing educational videos.
