The hope for the future is to build a
Children's Eye Hospital separate from the Srikiran Institute of Ophthalmology. The added space, technology and staff will allow the Eye Foundation of America to broaden the range and scope of services it offers to the children of India. In 2006, the inauguration of Goutami Eye Institute has fulfilled this hope.
In addition, the Eye Foundation of America is extending its services into Navajo Country in the United States. Navajo Indian tribes in Arizona and New Mexico will benefit from eye screenings. In the reccent years, the foundation has been involved in 13 more countries, including Afghanistan; either in a small or big way.
